‘Madden NFL 24’ trailer shows Josh Jacobs in new number

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs announced on May 22 that he had changed his jersey number from the 28 that he’d worn in his first four NFL seasons to the 8 that he’d worn in his final two seasons at Alabama.

On Wednesday, EA Sports released the trailer for its “Madden NFL 24,” and Jacobs’ video-game likeness makes a prominent appearance – in the No. 8.

Jacobs is among the five former Crimson Tide standouts that are shown in the trailer for the latest edition of the gaming franchise.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs returns an interception for a touchdown in the trailer, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is shown scrambling and Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith is seen celebrating in the end zone.

The appearance of New York Giants safety Xavier McKinney is less flattering. He’s shown failing to keep Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler from reaching the end zone.
